Tomorrow we get to go swimming in the afternoon in Cache Creek. Hopefully it's as hot there as it has been here the last couple of days. I just got finished making a short movie for English. It contained an alien invasion being foiled by a turkey, we were kind of limited for characters. But it was fun anyways. Tomorrow is June, not good, not good at all. I really can't believe how fast this year went by. I was kind of expecting it to though since everything I don't want to happens always comes really quickly. Still, it feels like the second semester just started. Why does time always seem to speed up when you don't want it to and then slow down when you want it to go by really fast. It's so annoying! Yesterday I found out that I was accepted into the dorms, it's a little bit of a relief but it also makes everything a little bit more real, not good.

We did end up going to the rodeo today, and it was pretty wet for the first half, I was pretty much soaked. Luckily, by the second half the rain had stopped and the sun was sort of coming through the clouds. Now it's pretty much all blue sky so the weather should stay good tonight. May ball always goes by really fast, especially the parade, even though we are always really tired by the end of it. It would be a lot of fun to do the Ashcroft parade, since we've only ever done the parade in Clinton, if you don't count parade core at the competitions. I kind of miss the parade cores, but since i was the smallest I always had to be at the very back, right in front of the drums, it really hurt the ears.

Well the parade is over and it actually didn't go too badly. We even got invited to the Ashcroft parade next month and we might even actually go this year. The weather was pretty good, a little bit chilly but no rain. By the time we had finished the first half of the parade we had all warmed up and were able to take our track coats off, good thing the van was right in front of us, otherwise we would have had to carry our coats. I think we only forgot what we were doing about 10 times, which is pretty good for only an hour of practice 5 days before we actually did it. It feels weird knowing that next year I will be watching the parade in stead of being in it. All well, at least I'll be home by this time next year. We didn't go to the rodeo today, so we'll be going tomorrow.

I just got home from helping with the Cowboy Poetry the grads are doing for May ball. I can't believe that this is pretty much the last fund raiser we are going to be doing for grad, after all, grad is only a month away. Tomorrow is the parade and we just got our routine on Tuesday, so it should be interesting, and definitely a little confusing. Hopefully the weather is good at least until the parade is over. I don't think we are going to the rodeo tomorrow, probably just on Sunday. This afternoon we played baseball and did the garbage pick-up, the grade 12s had the area around the elementary school and it was pretty clean so we really didn't have to pick up much. It was pretty hot this afternoon and I think I may have gotten a little bit of a sun burn, it will probably turn into a tan pretty quickly though, they usually do.

This year's provincials were so long. Both Friday and Saturday we didn't get out of the gym until around 9:30. On Friday we didn't start until 3:30 but Saturday we started at 8:45. I was almost asleep in the bleachers, especially during the pre-events when I was just sitting around watching. It went pretty well though. Solo-dance was interesting. I ended up in a four way tie for high score and they made all four us do it in the floor at one time. I almost ran into a couple of people. It's just Canadians left now, that's a little bit sad but it is going to be so much fun. It feels so weird knowing that this was probably my last provincials, but you never know. Tomorrow we leave for our grad trip, I'm so excited, I can't wait. My luck, tomorrow will go by extremely slow, just because I want it to go by quickly.

At lunch today my mom and I are leaving for Inveremere. This means that I have to go to school for the morning and that all I'll be missing today is English and my spare block. The spare block part isn't too good since I really have to get my physics done, there's only two months left. Last night I had are really weird dream but all I can remember about it is that it had a necklace, a monkey, and an elephant that had just escaped. I can sort of see some other parts but not clear enough to describe them. Dreams are so strange, I don't really understand how you can be thinking about a dream one second and then the next second you can't even remember what it was about. Sometimes it drives me crazy trying to think of a dream.

This week is really long. We have baton practices on Monday, Tuesday and today. Then tomorrow we travel to Inveremere and Friday and Saturday are provincials, and I'm already tired. Today baton starts at four o'clock. The first hour will be for practicing Lady Hawke and the last hour for Staying Alive. Last night was just a normal practice but Monday was the same as today. I don't know why, but this year competitions just don't feel like competitions. Usually right now I would be stressing out about provincials but this year I'm not even thinking about it. Maybe this is because I have so much else to think about this year that I don't really have time to think about baton. I actually like it a lot better this way, it's much more calm.
